All awards winners will receive a coveted Apple Annie’s pie PLUS various gift certificates. This year’s three recovery-based charities receiving proceeds from the race are: 13th Street House for Women, The Tides, Inc. and A Safe Place. This race is an outreach project of Wrightsville United Methodist Church.
13th Street House for Women - Helps women to transition from jail, prison, and treatment centers back into the community.
The Tides, Inc. - Helps pregnant women as they navigate recovery from Opioid Use Disorder and work to become healthy mothers having healthy babies.
A Safe Place - Focuses on prevention, advocacy, and restoration to assist victims of commercial, sexual exploitation, and domestic sex trafficking.
